There Is Sin In The Camp

“Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.” (Joshua 7:11)
“Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.” (Joshua 7:11)

Why is there so much greed, fraud, false teaching, and sexual abuse in the church?

Because, there is sin in the camp!

It seems that church leaders are being exposed daily through the exposing of their wickedness. It’s definitely not limited to a small group of church leaders; it’s running rampant within the body.

The answer is primarily twofold. First, the enemy is doing everything he can to turn people away from the church because of a trust issue.

Why would people want to turn away from the world, when what they see in these spiritual leaders being exposed for their sins? They believe these leaders are worse, because of their hypocrisy. They tend to judge the church as a whole because of what they are witnessing church leaders being exposed

The second reason is that prophecy is being fulfilled, so we can heed the signs and be prepared for the return of our Lord. Look at what the Word tells us will happen in the last days before Yeshua returns. It’s found in 2 Thessalonians 2:3:

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.”

Everything in prophecy is lining up, for the anti-Christ to be revealed, that will implement the "mark of the beast."

Now, we know that not everyone who calls themselves a minister or prophet, is doing God’s work. There are many who preach another gospel; they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They are being used by Satan to greatly deceive people by preaching false doctrine, or they are there to take advantage of the church through fraud, and to defile what God has ordained through their sexual sins, and perversions. We find this in Scripture, in Matthew 24:24:

“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

But there are those who received and preached the truth who, after being deceived themselves, began to fall away from their calling by giving in to the sins of the flesh.

They are treading in very dangerous territory. Least they repent, there is no sacrifice for their sins, and the terrifying thing is, God said in the book of Hebrews 10:26,

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,”

We, who are the church, must not be deterred from the call of God. We must remain faithful, focused on the Father and continue to walk in faith, regardless of what is taking place in the world.

We must continue to preach the truth and not worry about those who are deceived and cause many to turn away. Yeshua, exposed them, when He walked the earth, and I truly believe that we are to do the same. He told the religious leaders who they truly were.

In Matthew 12:34 He told them,

“Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

‭And in 2 Timothy 3:5

“having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2 Timothy 3:5)

Also in John 8:44

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

‭‭We are called to preach the gospel with a demonstration of God’s power. We cannot convince anyone that what we preach is the truth; that is the Holy Spirit’s job through revelation to the unbeliever.

Do not be dismayed when you see and hear these things. They must take place before the return of our Lord. Be diligent to fulfill your calling. For you are called to be the hands and feet of Yeshua, and He is the truth, and He will make the captives free.
